The engagement was convened by Alhassan Ishaq Alhassan as the third in a series of activities aimed at assessing, documenting and publicising development interventions facilitated by the member representing Zaria Federal Constituency and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen.

The unveiling ceremony will feature a community engagement with 150 community leaders drawn from across the Zaria Federal Constituency.
THE Convener Alhassan Ishaq Alhassan said the initiative was intended to ensure that residents were adequately informed about projects being implemented in their communities and across the constituency.
He explained that the first phase brought together youth groups, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to assess the impact of constituency projects on local communities.
According to him, the assessment covered major interventions in Zaria Local Government Area, including the Education City project, Aba Bridge, Kofar -Doka Agwaro Bridge and newly constructed healthcare facilities.
Alhassan said beneficiaries and other stakeholders were later brought together for public discussions to obtain their views and identify ways of improving the sustainability and effectiveness of the projects.
He noted that the process eventually culminated in a public endorsement of the Speaker, adding that the participation of people from different political backgrounds demonstrated the significance of the engagement.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Zaria Local Government Area, Engr. Jamilu Ahmad Muhammad, commended the community leaders for responding positively to the invitation.
He said their participation demonstrated their commitment to initiatives aimed at promoting development and improving the welfare of residents across the local government area.
The chairman highlighted some of the development projects facilitated by Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen in the constituency, saying the interventions had contributed to addressing important socio-economic needs of the people.
Some traditional and community leaders who attended the engagement also commended the projects, saying they had contributed to the development of their communities and improved residents’ wellbeing.
The leaders expressed appreciation for the Speaker’s efforts in attracting development interventions to Zaria Federal Constituency and pledged their continued support for his leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.
