The latest commendation came from the Youth Progressive Awareness during a solidarity visit to the Director-General of the Kaduna State Transport Regulatory Authority, KADSTRA, Engineer Inuwa Ibrahim, in Kaduna.
The group said the visit was aimed at expressing solidarity with the KADSTRA management and appreciating Governor Uba Sani for what it described as his developmental initiatives across the state.
According to the group, the administration has demonstrated commitment to road construction and rehabilitation, education, healthcare, security, agriculture and rural development.
It said the government’s efforts in infrastructure development were helping to improve connectivity, facilitate the movement of people and goods, and promote economic activities across the state.
The group pledged its continued support for the administration and promised to sensitise Kaduna youths on government programmes and development projects.
Responding, the KADSTRA Director-General, Engineer Inuwa Ibrahim, thanked the Youth Progressive Awareness for the visit and their interest in the development of Kaduna State.
Engineer Inuwa said the Governor Uba Sani-led administration was anchored on the SUSTAIN Agenda, which prioritises Safety and Security, Upgrade of Infrastructure, Strengthening Institutions, Trade and Investment, Agriculture, Investment in Human Capital and Nurturing Citizens’ Engagement.
He said KADSTRA had been repositioned and empowered to effectively discharge its responsibilities in regulating and improving the state’s transportation system.
The Director-General added that more road and transport-related projects would be implemented across urban and rural areas as part of efforts to improve connectivity and ease transportation.
Engineer Inuwa urged youths to continue supporting government initiatives and take ownership of public projects in their communities by protecting them against vandalism.
He also highlighted the state government’s provision of buses for free transportation services, describing the initiative as an intervention aimed at reducing the burden of rising transport costs and improving access to affordable and reliable transportation.
The visit ended with a group photograph and a renewed commitment to partnership for the development of Kaduna State.
