Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has been commended for his administration’s efforts to reform the state’s transportation sector and improve the efficiency of public transport.

The Director-General of the Kaduna State Transport Regulatory Authority, KADSTRA, Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim, stated this when he hosted a high-level delegation from the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, NITT, Zaria, on a study tour of KADSTRA and Kaduna Line.

The delegation, led by the Director of Transport School, Engr. Remi Adewunmi, comprised NITT officials and 40 students of the Master’s in Transport and Logistics programme.

Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim said the visit provided an opportunity to share experiences on Kaduna State’s transport policies, regulatory framework and achievements recorded under the administration of Governor Uba Sani over the last three years.

Presentations were made on the state’s transport policies, reforms and major achievements, while the delegation also visited relevant facilities to gain practical knowledge of the operations of KADSTRA and Kaduna Line.

The study tour is expected to strengthen knowledge sharing between KADSTRA, Kaduna Line and NITT, while exposing the students to practical approaches to transportation planning, regulation and logistics management.
