Governor Uba Sani, CON, expressed delight at the engagement, describing it as a key opportunity for both teams to harmonize efforts and strengthen collaboration toward the successful implementation of the transformative transportation initiative.
During the visit, the delegation conducted a reconnaissance tour of the project site, assessing progress firsthand and aligning on critical next steps. Governor Sani commended the updates shared by the Federal Government team, highlighting the commitment to advancing modern transportation infrastructure in Kaduna State.
The Governor also extended gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his visionary leadership and support for infrastructure development nationwide, particularly his approval of N1 trillion funding for the 50-kilometer Kaduna Light Rail Project.
He noted that this commitment has enabled contractors and project teams to move swiftly into action.
Governor Sani further stated that the visit underscores the readiness of all stakeholders for the groundbreaking ceremony, expected to take place in a month, and reiterated appreciation for Kaduna State being chosen as the pilot for this landmark project.
The Governor concluded by acknowledging the delegation’s recognition of the State Government’s cooperation and dedication, reaffirming the joint resolve of the Kaduna State Government, the Federal Government, and Mota-Engil to deliver the Light Rail Project for the benefit of citizens.
