The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State has unveiled its interim ward executives for Dogarawa Ward, signalling renewed efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The unveiling ceremony drew prominent ADC leaders from both the state and local government levels, as well as a large turnout of party supporters.

Addressing the gathering, former Kaduna State Commissioner for Education and Information, Professor Sani Bello, said the ADC was formed to provide a united and credible opposition platform capable of challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Professor Bello criticised the APC-led government for what he described as its failure to tackle poverty, insecurity and economic hardship, noting that residents of Kaduna State and Nigerians at large were grappling with worsening living conditions.

He urged citizens to support the ADC, insisting that the party remained the only opposition force with the capacity to effectively confront the ruling party and offer an alternative path to national recovery.

The former commissioner also faulted the Federal Government’s food importation policies, arguing that excessive imports had undermined local agriculture and pushed many Nigerian farmers into heavy financial losses worth billions of naira.

Speaking, one of the interim local government executives, Professor Idris Ahmed Aliyu, charged the newly unveiled ward executives to work diligently to build a strong party structure capable of unseating the APC.

He encouraged the leadership to adopt strategic measures, including the establishment of active committees, to secure victory for the ADC in the 2027 general elections.

Also speaking at the event, former Kaduna State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Sama’ila Aliyu Makarfi, called on the interim executives to demonstrate commitment, integrity and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities.

In a similar vein, Engr. Namaddi Musa from Badarawa Ward in Kaduna North Local Government Area urged ADC members across Kaduna State to emulate the Dogarawa Ward leadership in strengthening party unity and mobilisation.

Former Kaduna State House of Assembly member representing Zaria City, Hon. Suleiman Ibrahim Dabo, described the current federal administration as lacking tangible achievements, calling on Nigerians to become more politically conscious.

He further appealed to party members to embrace inclusiveness and unity as preparations intensify for the 2027 polls.
The event concluded with a massive turnout of ADC members, both men and women, underscoring the party’s growing presence and mobilisation drive in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
