The management of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, has announced the commencement of admissions into its expanded National Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This follows the approval granted by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), which authorised the Polytechnic to introduce additional NCE courses under its School of Science, Vocational and Technical Education.
Speaking on the development, the Overseer of the Information and Protocol Division, Abdullahi Ibrahim Shehu, said the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has already uploaded five new NCE programmes for the Polytechnic, thereby increasing the number of available courses to eight.
According to him, the newly listed NCE programmes are:
1. NCE Agricultural Education (Main Campus)
2. NCE Business Education (Main Campus)
3. NCE Technical Education (Main Campus)
4. NCE Biology Education (Annex Campus)
5. NCE Chemistry Education (Annex Campus)
6. NCE Computer Science Education (Annex Campus)
7. NCE Physics Education (Annex Campus)
8. NCE Mathematics Education (Annex Campus)
He explained that candidates who scored 100 marks and above in the 2025/2026 JAMB examination, and possess a minimum of five O’Level credits, are eligible to apply. Such candidates are advised to visit any JAMB-accredited centre to obtain a Green Card and select Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic as their first choice of institution.
Shehu added that the admission process will close on December 31, 2025, in line with JAMB’s national admission policy.
He further disclosed that the Polytechnic has also obtained the approval of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) to offer a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PDE) for teachers and lecturers. Interested applicants can apply through the Polytechnic’s admission portal at www.nubapoly.edu.ng.
