Islamiyya School in Zaria have received free school uniforms from the Magaji Shitu Educational Foundation.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Magaji Shitu, said the aim of the gesture is to transform the children by giving them both Islamic and modern education for a better future.
He explained that this is not the first intervention, as the Foundation had earlier sponsored the free school uniforms for over one hundred pupils of Dahiru Kanti Primary School.
Alhaji Magaji Shitu urged parents to be committed to sending their children to school on time and to support the Foundation to enable it continue contributing to educational development in the area.
He also called on members of the public to give full support to the government to achieve sustainable economic growth in the country.
In his remarks, the Village Head of Rimin Danza, Alhaji Adamu Sharehu, commended the Foundation for supporting children’s education and called on wealthy individuals to emulate the gesture.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Umar Mai Jalingo, said the major goal of the foundation is to ensure that every child receives both Islamic and western education for a brighter future.
Similarly, the Head mistress of Dahiru Kanti Primary School, Malama Rukkaya Ahmad, appreciated the Foundation’s efforts and urged parents to pay more attention to their children’s education.
Some of the pupils who among the beneficiaries expressed happiness and gratitude for the support received.
About two hundred pupils benefited from the free Islamiyya school uniforms provided by the Magaji Shitu Educational Foundation in Zaria.
