SODA COMMENDS GOVERNOR UBA SANI OVER PROGRESS ON TURAWA–DA’A–KURUNGUFI–DINYA ROAD PROJECT. By Mikail Ibrahim Fagachi

The Soba Development Association (SODA) in Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State has commended Governor Malam Uba Sani for revisiting the road project linking Turawa, Da’a, Kurungufi and Dinya communities, as construction work has now reached an advanced stage of completion.

The Chairman of SODA, Alhaji Lawal Umar Magayakin Soba, made this known while speaking to newsmen during an inspection tour of the ongoing project, describing it as a significant development that would improve the lives of residents in the benefiting communities.

Alhaji Lawal Umar Magayakin Soba described Governor Uba Sani as a leader who demonstrates concern for rural communities, noting that the road would ease transportation, promote commercial activities and strengthen connections among communities across the area.

The SODA Chairman explained that about ninety per cent of the rural population depends on agriculture and business activities for their livelihoods. He added that the road would facilitate the movement of agricultural produce and other goods, while also linking several local government areas and providing access towards Kano State.

Alhaji Lawal Umar also commended Governor Uba Sani for his contributions to education, healthcare and agricultural development. He extended similar commendation to the Senator representing Kaduna North Senatorial Zone One, Barrister Ibrahim Khalid, for attracting developmental projects and delivering democratic dividends to the people.

The SODA Chairman further praised the Member representing Soba Federal Constituency, Engineer Suleiman Yahaya Richifa, for facilitating the ongoing Soba Medical Centre project, other capital projects and various empowerment programmes. However, he appealed to the relevant authorities to urgently address some challenges facing the area, including the reconstruction of the Zaria–Soba–Pambegua Road, the persistent electricity supply problem and the rehabilitation of collapsed bridges linking communities within and outside Soba.

Alhaji Lawal Umar Magayakin Soba urged residents to remain law-abiding citizens and exercise their constitutional rights responsibly for the continued peace and development of the area. He expressed optimism that the completion of the Turawa–Da’a–Kurungufi–Dinya Road would significantly improve transportation, agricultural activities and economic growth across the benefiting communities.
