This commitment was brought to the fore when the Director General of the Kaduna State Transport Regulatory Authority (KADSTRA), Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim, paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the ongoing Ultra-Modern Eastern Bus Terminal at Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area.
Governor Uba Sani's administration has prioritized the transformation of the transport sector as a critical pillar of his SUSTAIN Agenda, aimed at easing movement, boosting commerce, and improving the quality of life for citizens.
The Eastern Bus Terminal, one of the flagship projects under this reform, is designed to be a world-class facility that will centralize inter-state transport activities, decongest the city centre, enhance security, and provide comfort for commuters.
During the inspection, Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim assessed the level of progress and compliance with approved design specifications. He expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work, noting that the project is in alignment with the Governor's vision.
He charged the contractor to sustain the momentum and ensure timely completion without compromising standards.
The project, upon completion, is expected to create jobs, stimulate economic activities around Millennium City, and reposition Kaduna as a hub for organized and regulated transport services.
