KADSTRA Engages Stakeholders on Kawo Motor Park Relocation to Sobawa
The Kaduna State Transport Regulatory Authority, KADSTRA, has engaged key stakeholders on the proposed relocation of Kawo Motor Park to Sobawa as part of efforts to improve urban transportation in Kaduna metropolis.

The engagement, held as part of the ongoing sensitisation on the Kaduna Bus Rapid Transit, KBRT, project, was presided over by the Overseeing Director General of KADSTRA, Engineer Inuwa Ibrahim, alongside the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Adamu Samaila.

The forum brought together traditional and community leaders from Kawo, religious leaders, transport unions and cooperatives, as well as civil society organisations, to deliberate on the proposed relocation and its implications for the community.

The existing Kawo Motor Park has been identified as one of the principal terminals for the Kaduna Connect BRT system, which the government says is designed to improve public transportation, create employment opportunities and stimulate socioeconomic development.

Speaking at the forum.the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Matters,Comrade Adamu Samaila said the Kaduna State Government was committed to implementing the project through consultation, cooperation and partnership with affected communities and other stakeholders.

He described the KBRT initiative as people-oriented, assuring participants that their views would continue to be considered through sustained consultation and participatory oversight.

In his remarks, Director General Kadstra Engineer Inuwa Ibrahim commended the stakeholders for their constructive contributions and commitment to dialogue.

He stressing KADSTRA’s determination to ensure transparent, accountable and inclusive implementation of the Kaduna Connect project.
