The Forum of Former Staff of KCAST, CAS, KSPZ and NBPZ has congratulated the Rector of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, Engr. Dr. Mohammed Kabiru Abdullahi, on the extension of his tenure by one year.
The forum paid a congratulatory visit to the Rector following the decision by the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, CON, to extend his appointment for an additional year.
The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Coordinating Committee and former Rector, Alhaji Suleiman Aliyu, who was represented by Alhaji Mohammed Balarabe. It also included the Secretary of the Coordinating Committee and former Registrar, Hajia Zainab Mohammed Barau, as well as Mr Innocent Opofou, Alhaji Yahaya Yusuf and Mr Istifanus J. J.
Speaking during the visit, the forum described the extension of the Rector’s tenure as a reflection of the confidence the Kaduna State Government has in his leadership, experience and administrative capacity.
It said the additional year would provide an opportunity for the Polytechnic to consolidate the achievements recorded under his administration and implement further initiatives aimed at strengthening the institution.
The former staff commended the Rector for what they described as notable progress in academic development, infrastructure, staff welfare, institutional visibility, discipline and general administration.
They said, having contributed to the development of the Polytechnic at different stages of its history, they were pleased to identify with the institution’s recent achievements and developments.
The forum expressed confidence that the Rector would use the additional period in office to consolidate the foundation already laid and further advance the Polytechnic’s vision as a leading institution for technical and vocational education in Kaduna State and Nigeria.
Responding, Engr. Dr. Mohammed Kabiru Abdullahi thanked the forum for the visit, congratulatory message and continued support for the Polytechnic.
He acknowledged the contributions of former staff to the growth and development of the institution and assured them of his commitment to sustaining the progress recorded so far.
The forum also congratulated the newly appointed Registrar of the Polytechnic, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim Shehu, and wished him a successful tenure.
The visit ended with the presentation of congratulatory letters to the Rector and the Registrar by the leadership of the Forum of Former Staff.
