Dr. Fahad Chikaji Ahmed, Protocol Officer to the Commandant of the Correctional Service Training School, Kaduna (CSTSK), has emerged as one of the major highlights of the 2026 Annual Correctional Leadership Excellence Award Colloquium (ACLEBAC), receiving three prestigious awards in recognition of his outstanding service, innovation, and dedication to the Nigerian Correctional Service.

The awards were presented during the Annual Correctional Leadership Excellence Award Colloquium, hosted by the Correctional Service Training School, Kaduna, under the leadership of Commandant CCS R. Y. Jatau. The event brought together senior government officials, security and paramilitary officers, traditional rulers, members of the judiciary, development partners, academics, captains of industry, and other distinguished stakeholders from across Nigeria.

Dr. Fahad Chikaji Ahmed received the Distinction Award, presented by the Honourable Minister of Defence, in recognition of his exceptional commitment to public service. He was also honoured with the Most Innovative Staff Award, presented on behalf of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, in appreciation of his innovative contributions to the institution. In addition, he received the Teamwork/Team Player (CSTSK) Award, presented by the Zonal Coordinator, Zone B, Nigerian Correctional Service, for his outstanding spirit of collaboration and dedication to institutional success.

The management of the Correctional Service Training School also recognized Dr. Chikaji for his professionalism, integrity, and remarkable contributions as Protocol Officer, describing him as one of the officers whose commitment has significantly contributed to the growth and achievements of the institution and the Nigerian Correctional Service.

Speaking after receiving the awards, Dr. Chikaji expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah, describing the honours as a reflection of God's grace, teamwork, dedication, and the unwavering support of his colleagues, mentors, and family. He reaffirmed his commitment to excellence, innovation, and selfless service, emphasizing that true success lies in making a positive impact wherever one is privileged to serve.

The Annual Correctional Leadership Excellence Award Colloquium serves as a platform for recognizing outstanding correctional officers and personnel, promoting leadership development, encouraging ethical service delivery, showcasing correctional reforms, and strengthening collaboration among professionals and stakeholders in the justice and correctional sectors.

The 2026 edition of the colloquium was inspired by His Royal Highness, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, the 19th Emir of Zazzau, in collaboration with Premium Pension Limited. Although the Emir was unavoidably absent, he was represented by the Bunun Zazzau, Alhaji Bala Muhammad, District Head of Doka.

The successful hosting of ACLEBAC 2026 reaffirmed the Correctional Service Training School, Kaduna's commitment to producing transformational leaders, promoting institutional excellence, and advancing reforms aimed at strengthening the Nigerian Correctional Service in line with international best practices.
