The Chief Imam of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) Juma’ah Mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Sani Lawal, made the call while speaking with journalists in Zaria. He stressed that assisting the needy, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, attracts great spiritual rewards and strengthens unity within the community.

Sheikh Lawal explained that charitable acts during the fasting period are highly valued in Islam, noting that those who support the poor, widows and other vulnerable persons would receive multiplied blessings from Allah. He encouraged Muslims to make generosity a habit beyond the Ramadan season.

The cleric also advised Islamic scholars currently conducting Tafsir sessions to ensure their teachings remain firmly rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, while guiding followers toward moral discipline, peaceful coexistence and responsible citizenship. He further urged Muslims to sustain prayers for Kaduna State and Nigeria, seeking divine intervention to address security challenges and promote socio-economic development.

Sheikh Lawal added that collective prayers, compassion and mutual support remain essential for building a stable and prosperous society.
