Speaking during the meeting, a Project TeamMember, Alawiyya Abdullahi, explained that the initiative focuses on educating girls between the ages of one and sixteen on literacy and basic education across different intervention areas.
She noted that the programme is designed to improve reading and writing skills among young girls while empowering them with knowledge that will enhance their educational and personal development.
According to her, the meeting marked the fourth stakeholders’ engagement session involving representatives from the forty communities where the project is currently being implemented.
Alawiyya stated that the objective of the current meeting was to review the progress made so far and assess the challenges encountered by stakeholders in their respective communities, particularly regarding the students benefiting from the programme.
She stressed the importance of collaboration between community leaders, parents, and education stakeholders to ensure the sustainability and success of the project.
One of the participants, Alkasim Dahiru from Hayin Malam in Sabon Gari Local Government Area, commended the project for improving literacy among young girls and creating greater awareness about the importance of education.
Similarly, Balarabe Abdullahi from Anguwar Karfe in Zaria Local Government Area praised the programme, noting that it has contributed significantly to the academic growth and confidence of participating children.
Also speaking, Bala Abdulkadir from Ɗinya in Soba Local Government Area expressed gratitude to the organisers, saying the project has brought visible educational improvements among children in his community.
