Old pupils of the 1991 set of Dan Madami Primary School, Fanwanki, in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have held their first reunion since completing their primary education.

The school is now known as Aminu Ladan Sharehu Primary School.
The reunion took place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the school premises in Fanwanki, Zaria, bringing together former pupils, teachers, and members of the community.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Abuwabul Khair Foundation, Dr. Yusuf Ahmed Mu’az, an alumnus of the school, announced plans to support the school through the construction of an electric-powered tube well and the provision of chairs for pupils, aimed at improving learning conditions.

Former teachers of the school—Mallam Ibrahim, Mallam Yakubu, and Mallam Muhammed—expressed their delight over the reunion and urged the old pupils to sustain the unity and cooperation they have initiated for the growth of the school and the wider community.

In her remarks, the current Head mistress of the school, Brr. Fatima Abdulrahman, appealed to the old pupils to further support the school, particularly in the areas of pupils’ chairs, access to clean drinking water, and other essential needs.

The event was attended by members of the 1991 set, some of their former teachers, and the current school management.

A caretaker committee was also elected during the meeting to oversee the affairs of the Old Pupils’ Association.

The reunion recorded a large turnout of participants and was described as a significant step toward strengthening alumni engagement and supporting educational development in the community.
