Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has intensified efforts to transform the state’s public transportation system through initiatives aimed at making transportation more affordable, accessible and efficient for residents.
One of the key interventions is the Kaduna Subsidised Transport Scheme, which provides affordable transportation to residents while reducing the impact of rising transport costs on commuters across the state.
As part of efforts to strengthen the scheme, the MD Kaduna line Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim inspected the ongoing construction of a dedicated parking facility for Kaduna Subsidised Transport Scheme buses at Kakuri in Kaduna South Local Government Area.
The facility, initiated by Governor Uba Sani, is expected to provide an organised and secure location for the parking and management of buses deployed under the subsidised transport scheme.
During the inspection, the MD assessed the progress of construction and reviewed the quality and pace of work at the project site.
The facility is expected to enhance operational efficiency, improve proper management of the buses and support the smooth implementation of the state government’s subsidised transport initiative.
The Governor’s interventions in the transport sector are aimed at developing a more responsive public transportation system capable of easing the burden of transportation on residents and improving mobility across Kaduna State.
The ongoing construction at Kakuri therefore represents another step towards strengthening the infrastructure supporting the state’s subsidised public transport system.
