MIKAIL IBRAHIM FAGACHI. MAIGANA DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION MADA VISITS RICHIFA CONDOLES WITH FAMILIES OF ABDUCTED WOMEN.
Maigana Development Association, MADA, has visited Richifa town in Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State to sympathise with two residents, Alhaji Aminu DanAtta, Sardaunan Richifa, and Alhaji Usman Marwa, over the abduction of their wives by bandits some weeks ago.
The visit was led by the Acting Chairman of MADA, Alhaji Sirajo Salihu Awai, who said the association considered it necessary to identify with the affected families during the difficult period and offer prayers for the safe return of the abducted women.
Speaking at the residences of the affected families, Alhaji Sirajo Salihu Awai said such visits were part of MADA's tradition and activities, as the association always identifies with members of the community during moments of happiness and sadness.
He described the incident as worrisome and prayed to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to protect the victims and facilitate their safe return. He also explained that MADA was not a partisan political organisation, but was focused on development and enlightening people of Maigana District on government policies and programmes.
The Acting Chairman added that the association also collaborates with elected representatives to facilitate meaningful development projects across the five wards of Maigana District. He said MADA would soon embark on an inspection tour of community development projects across the five wards as the rainy season comes to an end, with a view to identifying areas where the association could contribute.
Responding, Alhaji Aminu DanAtta, Sardaunan Richifa, and Alhaji Usman Marwa expressed appreciation to the MADA leadership and members for the visit, saying the gesture demonstrated the association's concern for the wellbeing of the people. They pledged their support to MADA's development agenda.
The MADA team also paid a courtesy visit to the Village Head of Richifa, Alhaji Umar Abdullahi Yahaya. Alhaji Sirajo Salihu Awai explained that the visit was also to sympathise with the families affected by the abduction. In his response, the village head thanked MADA for the gesture and assured the association of the support of the traditional institution. By Mikail Ibrahim Fagachi.
