The Kaduna State Government has approved the promotion of 321 staff members of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, in a move aimed at strengthening manpower and improving service delivery in the institution.

The approval was conveyed in a letter dated April 28, 2026, signed by the Commissioner for Education, Abubakar Sani Sambo. The promotions, which take effect from January 1, 2026, cut across various cadres within the polytechnic, although they are subject to ratification by the institution’s governing council when reconstituted.

Among those promoted are eleven Chief Lecturers, regarded as the highest academic rank, as well as six Deputy Registrars within the administrative cadre. The development is expected to further boost the institution’s capacity to introduce new academic programmes in the near future.

Reacting to the development, the Rector of the institution, Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi, expressed appreciation to the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, for creating an enabling environment and improving staff welfare, which he said has made it possible for employees to advance in their careers.

He urged the newly promoted staff to reciprocate the gesture by demonstrating greater commitment and dedication to their duties, in order to enhance effective service delivery to the institution and the state at large.

The statement was issued by the Deputy Registrar (Information and Protocol), Abdullahi Ibrahim Shehu, on behalf of the Registrar.
