The engagement, organized by the Kaduna State Transport Regulatory Authority (KADSTRA), brought together traditional leaders and key stakeholders to discuss the benefits and implementation of the BRT system.
Speaking during the session, officials emphasized that the project is designed to reduce transportation costs, improve safety, and ease traffic congestion across the state.
The BRT corridor, spanning approximately 24 kilometers from Kawo to Sabon Tasha, is expected to significantly cut travel time for commuters.
District heads were urged to sensitize their communities on the importance of the project and encourage public cooperation.
Authorities noted that the success of the BRT system depends largely on grassroots acceptance and participation.
The project will feature dedicated bus lanes, modern terminals, and intelligent transport systems, aligning Kaduna with global standards in public transportation.
