The Kaduna State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving and modernising transportation across the state in order to enhance mobility, boost economic activities, and strengthen connectivity between rural and urban communities.

The Managing Director of Kaduna Line, Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim, made this known when officials of the Kaduna State chapter of the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) paid him a courtesy visit at his residence in Zaria.

Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim explained that over the past two years, the state government has implemented several initiatives aimed at transforming the transportation system into a modern and efficient one capable of meeting international standards.

According to him, the administration of Governor Uba Sani has prioritised infrastructure development and transportation reforms to ensure that residents enjoy safe, reliable, and affordable transport services across the state.

He noted that the government has constructed a modern motor park equipped with improved facilities designed to enhance the operations of transport unions while providing a more organised and comfortable environment for passengers and transport operators.

The Managing Director further revealed that the Kaduna State Government has constructed and rehabilitated roads covering over one thousand kilometres across different parts of the state.

He explained that the road projects are aimed at improving accessibility, connecting rural communities with urban centres, and promoting trade, agriculture, and other economic activities within the state.

Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim added that these developments form part of the broader vision of Governor Uba Sani to provide sustainable infrastructure and improve the overall quality of life of residents.

He also assured members of the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) that the state government would continue to collaborate with transport unions and other stakeholders to strengthen the transportation sector and address challenges affecting operators and commuters.
The Managing Director commended the association for its cooperation and support in maintaining order, discipline, and professionalism in the road transport industry.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), Alhaji Auwalu Umaru, popularly known as Auwalu 7Up, applauded the Kaduna State Government for its continuous engagement with transport unions aimed at improving transportation services.
He noted that Governor Uba Sani has demonstrated commitment to inclusive governance by working closely with transport stakeholders across the state.

Alhaji Auwalu Umaru pledged the association’s full support and cooperation to the state government in achieving its goals of developing the transport sector and improving service delivery for road users.
