Prof Muhammad Abdudda'im Jundiy the Secretary General of the Academy who received the Nigerian Sheikh in his office at Azhar, Cairo appreciated the visit and seeks for positive collaboration to enhance teaching and learning in Nigerian schools.
The Internationally recognized Islamic cleric expressed optimism that with further enhanced collaboration, Nurut tilawah International School and many others will benefit immensely from the Centre's diversed wealth of resources and facilities to improve education.
Prof Jundiy further committed the centre to the provision and facilitation of all needed assistance and support towards achieve the desired goal.
The Al-Azhar Islamic Research Complex is a renowned center for Islamic learning located in the heart of Islamic Cairo.
It is also the supreme body for Islamic research within the Al-Azhar institution, focusing on Islamic studies, jurisprudence, and theology.
The complex is at the fore front in researching, promoting, and disseminating Islamic knowledge, strengthening ties between Muslims, and conducting research on modern, critical issues.
As part of the 1000-year-old Al-Azhar complex, it plays key role in shaping Sunni Islamic thought, issuing fatwas, and fostering, intellectual discourse.
Earlier, Sheikh Nuruddeen Umar Tahir Director Nurut tilawah International School Zaria said the visit was aimed at strengthening mutual relationship beneficial to the overall development of education in Nigeria.
He said "as upcoming Islamic institution, Nurut tilawah requires all the guidance and support to compete favourable with other international schools for maximum standard in education.
Nuruddeen Tahir who appreciated the reception accorded him by the Secretary General pledged to reflect the intellectual discourse and suggestions into action on return to Nigeria.
