The Director-General of the Kaduna State Transport Regulatory Authority (KADSTRA), Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim, has participated in a series of meetings in Lagos to review progress towards the effective implementation of the Kaduna Bus Rapid Transit (KBRT) Project.
Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim, who was accompanied by the Project Director and Project Coordinator, attended a quarterly progress meeting organised by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) to assess developments and discuss key issues affecting the implementation of the project.
The meeting brought together relevant project stakeholders, including the project consultants responsible for design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Supervision, as well as other technical partners involved in the project.
Discussions at the meeting focused on the progress recorded so far, implementation priorities and measures required to ensure that the project meets its objectives within the agreed timelines.
The KADSTRA DG also held a technical meeting with the project consultants for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Supervision (EPCS) at their headquarters in Lagos.
The technical meeting focused particularly on the design timelines for the KBRT Project, with discussions aimed at ensuring timely completion of the design process and creating the necessary conditions for effective project implementation.
Engr. Inuwa Ibrahim's engagements in Lagos formed part of ongoing efforts by KADSTRA and its development partners to strengthen coordination, address technical issues and maintain progress on the KBRT Project.
The Kaduna Bus Rapid Transit Project is expected to contribute to improved public transportation services and more efficient urban mobility in Kaduna State.
