HEADLINE: Makarfi Local Government Council Will Continue to Support Governor Uba Sani’s Agenda, Especially in Health Care DeliveryMakarfi Local Government Council of Kaduna State says it will continue to support all the programmes and policies of the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Uba Sani, particularly in the area of health care delivery.The Chairman of Makarfi Local Government Council, Alhaji Garba Sabon, stated this during the flag-off of the distribution of assorted medical drugs and other health-care facilities to ten health centres across the local government.Our reporter, Mikail Ibrahim Fagachi, tells more.REPORTS:Speaking during the occasion, the Makarfi Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Garba Sabon, said the distribution of free assorted medical drugs was aimed at addressing some of the difficulties being faced by people in accessing medical care.He said Governor Uba Sani had contributed significantly towards upgrading some health centres in the state and providing them with the necessary facilities to improve health-care delivery.Alhaji Garba Sabon directed all medical personnel working in the health centres to ensure that the drugs reach the intended beneficiaries. He warned that any staff found selling, diverting or misusing the drugs would face serious disciplinary action.The Chairman also commended the Health Secretary of the local government, district and village heads, religious leaders and various groups collaborating with the Health Department for their efforts in sensitising the people about government health programmes.In his welcome address, the Health Secretary of Makarfi Local Government, Alhaji Aminu, expressed appreciation to the Chairman for his continued concern and commitment towards addressing health-related issues affecting the people.He explained the procedure for distributing the medical drugs to the various health centres and assured the Chairman that health workers would continue to discharge their responsibilities diligently and would not disappoint the people.In separate remarks, advisers to the Local Government Chairman reaffirmed their total support for the administration of Governor Malam Uba Sani, describing his achievements as laudable. They also expressed their support for his bid to continue in office for a second term.Also speaking, the District Head of Gubuchi, Alhaji Bello, prayed for the success of the programme and assured the local government council of continued support and cooperation in carrying out its mandate.Mikail Ibrahim Fagachi, reporting for Nagarta Radio Kaduna.
