An aspirant for the Kaduna North Senatorial District under the African Democratic Congress, Engr. Hayatu Musa Hassan, has called on Muslims to sustain the spirit of love, sacrifice and selflessness as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
In his Sallah message to the people of Zone One, Kaduna State and Nigerians in general, Engr. Hayatu said the virtues of love, obedience and sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim should serve as a guide for Muslim faithful.
He noted that Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah reflects the true essence of faith and total submission to the will of God.
The senatorial aspirant also urged Muslims to remain steadfast in the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), while renewing their faith and commitment to the worship of Allah.
According to him, the Eid-el-Kabir celebration should inspire Muslims to exhibit selflessness and extend love, care and support to their neighbours and the less privileged in society.
Engr. Hayatu further appealed to members of the ADC and other Nigerians to remain law-abiding, promote peaceful coexistence and avoid actions capable of heating up the polity.
