A frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Zaria Local Government Area, Hon. Aminu Umar, has explained that his decision to contest in the forthcoming elections is driven by his desire to bring effective representation and development to the people.
Hon. Umar stated this while addressing supporters and stakeholders in Zaria, where he outlined his vision and plans for the constituency.
According to him, the people of Zaria deserve purposeful leadership that will address their pressing needs, particularly in the areas of education, youth empowerment, infrastructure and economic development.
“I decided to join the race because I have seen the challenges facing our people, and I believe I have the capacity and commitment to make a difference,” he said.
He stressed that his ambition is not only about politics but about service, adding that he intends to promote policies that will improve the living standards of constituents and provide opportunities for young people.
Speaking on his political platform, Hon. Umar highlighted the ideals of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as a party committed to good governance, transparency and accountability.
He noted that the party provides a credible alternative for Nigerians seeking positive change, adding that its policies are focused on inclusiveness, development and people-oriented leadership.
“The ADC stands for justice, fairness and equal opportunities for all. It is a party that prioritises the welfare of the people and encourages active participation in governance,” he added.
Hon. Umar also called on the people of Zaria Local Government Area to support his candidature and the party in order to achieve meaningful progress.
He urged the electorate to come out in large numbers during the elections and vote for leaders who are committed to serving their interests.
“I call on all the good people of Zaria to support this movement for change. Together, we can build a better future for our constituency,” he said.
He further assured constituents of inclusive representation, promising to carry everyone along regardless of political, ethnic or religious differences.
The aspirant reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability and grassroots development if elected into office.
