Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Zaria to condole with the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, over the death of mother of the Minister of Environment, Balarabe Lawal Abbas.
The Vice President said he was in Zaria on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to condole and sympathize with the Emirate and family of the deceased.
Vice President Shettima described the death of a mother as a painful and irreplaceable loss, and prayed Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family the strength to bear the loss.
Responding, the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, appreciated the Vice President for the visit and for identifying with the Emirate at a time of grief.
He noted that the visit was a great honour and a source of comfort to the family and the entire Emirate.
The Vice President Shettima then proceeded to the residence of the Minister to console the family and offer prayers.
The late mother of the Minister died in Zaria and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
