The Speaker, House of Representatives, Abbas Tajuddeen, has donated twenty million naira and a brand-new ambulance to the newly constructed Central Juma’at Mosque at the Federal University of Education, Zaria.
He made this known during the commissioning ceremony of the newly rebuilt ultra-modern Juma’at Mosque, reconstructed by renowned philanthropist and businessman, Alh.Auwalu Abdullahi AA Rano, held at the Mosque premises in the University.
Dr. Abbas Tajuddeen explained that the gesture was aimed at supporting the proper maintenance and smooth running of the mosque.
He also commended AA Rano for spending millions of naira on the reconstruction of the modern mosque at the institution.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Vice chancellor of the University Professor Yahaya Isa Bunkure noted that the mosque complex include a modern clinic, toilets, shops, and a modern restaurant.
He expressed appreciation to Alhaji Auwalu AA Rano for undertaking such a remarkable project in the service of Islam.
In his sermon, the Chief Imam who led the Juma’at prayer, Barrister Saminu Abubakar, advised leaders and public office holders to continue supporting the religion of Allah and assisting humanity while they have the opportunity to do so.
Also, in his admonition, Sheikh Muhammad Bn Uthman emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness within the mosque.
He described Alhaji Auwalu AA Rano as a strong supporter of Islam across the country and prayed for Allah to accept his good deeds.
Similarly, in his remarks the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, appreciated AA Rano for rebuilding the mosque and called on worshippers to ensure proper maintenance of the facility, considering the huge amount of money spent on the project.
